Our German colleagues (Kersten Martinoff Architecture Office) decided primarily in functional questions, while we looked for answers to issues of form. We rendered the old building capable of satisfying the modern demands of the embassy that we preserved its original architectural atmosphere. It presented exciting problems in the internal space where at certain sections, old architectural forms had to be recalled using todays means.
