The Katti Zoób Fashion & Museum was developed on two separate plots and in two distinct buildings in the centre of Balatonfüred. The aim of the project was to create a cultural and creative hub that would both showcase the traditions of the fashion industry and serve as a space for creative work.
The existing villa and its annex on Petőfi Sándor Street underwent a complete renovation and were complemented with contemporary additions to function as an exhibition venue and creative centre. This building hosts thematic exhibitions from the fashion collection, temporary guest exhibitions, as well as professional workshops and training programmes. In the building on Zsigmond Street, a collection archive, storage facilities, a coordination office, and guest lecturer apartments were created.
The design placed particular emphasis on preserving the existing architectural values while complementing them with contemporary elements. In both buildings, priority was also given to the application of sustainable, energy-efficient, and environmentally conscious architectural solutions.
