Our task was the second extension of the house built in the twenties, still accomodating the embassy of India. We did the first remodelling in 1989 as well, preserving the style of the building. However, for the second time, we proposed modern architectural solutions for extension. However, planning became really interesting when the Ambassador asked me to add some Indian flavour to it. We loked for elements that are recognizably Indian but still modern. We recalled the atmosphere of an old Indian temple in stone divisions, and we applied diagonal trellis to the railing. We rendered the building Indian delicate associations and impressions.
